Robin & Clark To Premiere New Musical, Rapunzel, in 2023

Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark have penned a new children’s musical, Rapunzel, based on the Brothers’ Grimm fairytale but retold in a completely modernized version, which will received its world premiere at the Fulton Theatre on March 11 -25, 2023, and its East Coast premiere at Maine State Music Theatre on June 13, 2023. Reimagined for a contemporary audience, this Rapunzel is no longer a story about a “damsel in distress,” but rather about a young woman conquering her fears and finding empowerment. This energetic and high-spirited story flips the stereotypes of the old fairy tales and brings a fresh spin that is sure to engage all ages.

Jack and the Beanstalk Gets New Production in MSMT’s 2022 TYA Series

Maine State Music Theatre opened its 2022 Theatre for Young Audience’s Series with a new production of Robin and Clark’s Jack and the Beanstalk that drew a large, enthusiastic audience on June 13. Betsy Puelle directed ( and designed the production) with choreography by Mikala Jane Clifford and Music Direction by Matt LaBerge. Broadway World Maine reviewed the production warmly, saying “This hour-long musical version with book, music and lyrics by Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark is a fast-paced, engaging, and interactive retelling of the familiar fairytale that keeps its freshness and appeal.”

Fulton Theatre Presents Robin & Clark’s Snow White for the Holidays

The Fulton Theatre opened a new lavish production of Robin & Clark’s Snow White on November 20, 2021. This first offering in the season’s Theatre for Young Audiences Series has already been held over by popular demand through December 30, 2021. Directed by Marc Robin the performances features Michaela Bolt as Snow White, Nathaniel Hackmann as Prince Charming, Katie Sina Kindig as the evil Queen Narcissus, and Alex Haydn Miller as the Magic Mirror. The seven dwarfs in this modernized version are based on historical figures. Jonathan Bryant plays Columbus, Randall Frizado is Scrooge, Aaron Pottenger is Martin Luther King, David Diehl is Caruso, Brian Padgett is Freud , Carlos Jimenez is DaVinci, and Austin Phillips is Merlin. The show plays concurrently with the main stage production of Rdogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, making the holidays in Lancaster a thoroughly magical experience! Robin & Clark’s Cinderella Makes Debut in Düsseldorf

The English Theatre of Düsseldorf will present the German premiere of Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark’s musical, Cinderella, on September 5 at 4:00 p.m. and on September 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the Theatermuseum, Jägerhofstrasse 1, Düsseldorf.  Directed by Ilya Parenteau with musical direction by Tilman Wohlber and choreography by Victoria Wohleber, the production will be presented in English in an outdoor setting targeted especially for children ages 4-10 years old.

The English Theatre of Düsseldorf is the only professional English-speaking theatre company in Germany’s Rhine region.  Created in 2018 by Ilya Parenteau and Rosie Thorpe, the theatre aims to present a diverse repertoire of works for all ages, to collaborate with international artists to bring new works to its stage, and to present workshops and educational programs.  Parenteau hails from Chicago, where she has been active on that vibrant theatre scene. Thorpe was trained in England and has toured as an actress in Europe.

Sold Out ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Delights Fulton Audiences

Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark’s musical, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, which opened as part of the Eichmann Family Theatre Series at the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA on November 30 and runs until December 28, 2019, is enjoying a completely sold out run with performances added to accommodate the enthusiasm.

This delightful family show, based on the Christmas classic, features beloved characters, Santa, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snow Man, the Snow Queen, and others, all of whom young Charlotte meets in her magical visit to Toyland where she discovers the true meaning of Christmas. Directed by Randall Frizado and choreographed by Samantha Hewes Cramer, the one-hour festive fantasy with scenery by William Mohney and costumes by Brittany Leffler is performed on the main stage within the confines of the Peter Pan set, all adding to the magic.

The cast includes Jonathan Bryant (Frosty/Rabinowitz/Backup Dancer), Samantha Hewes Cramer (Gremlin/Young), Justin DeParis (Nutcracker/Backup Dancer), Randall Frizado (Charles/Jack Frost/Miller), Nicole Hackmann (Snow Queen/Samaria), Andrew Kindig (Mouse King), Carolyn Anne Miller (Charlotte), David Webb (Abominable Snowman, Mohney, Santa), and Anthony Zambia (Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer). Ben McNaboe is Music Director.

MSMT Showcases THE LITTLE MERMAID in its TYA Series

Maine State Music Theatre closed its 2019 Theatre for Young Audiences Series with four main stage performances of Robin and Clark’s THE LITTLE MERMAID.  The elaborate, colorful production was created entirely by the company’s Educational Fellows, directed/choreographed by Raymond Marc Dumont with musical direction by Evan Cuddy, and overseen by  MSMT’s Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark.  The four, virtually sold out Pickard Theater performances were preceded by a special sensory friendly rehearsal performance of the show on the Saturday prior.

Fulton Theatre Presents Developmental Reading of Robin & Clark’s Treasure Island

The Fulton Theatre presented the second developmental reading of Robin & Clark’s full-length musical, Treasure Island, on May 6, 2018. The significantly revised show is being readied for a full-scale lavish production to open the Fulton’s 2018-2019 season – its 160th and Marc Robin’s 10th at the helm – on September 21, 2018. The reading which filled the opera house and was enthusiastically received with standing ovations, featured a cast of 27 stunning singers and a 17-piece orchestra.

Robin & Clark’s The Nutcracker Opens at Fulton Theatre


The Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA reprises the ever popular production of Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark’s The Nutcracker from November 25 – December 23, 2017.  The run, which is part of the Eichmann Family Serties, was instantly sold out, and prompted the addition of two performances. The cast features Emily Bailey (Clara), Evan Mayer (Nutcracker), Gabrielle Harker (Marie), Andrew Kindig (Fritz/Mouse King), and is directed/choreographed by Buddy Reeder.
